Lyle Dayman

After a career lifetime in a Melbourne advertising agency, I retired to Yea in north east Victoria where I took up watercolour painting. I had lessons with Greg Allen, Ross Paterson, Amanda Hyatt and Alvaro Castagnet. In those days as now, Victoria boasts some of the world's foremost watercolour painters.Ten years ago Rosemary and I decided to return to Adelaide, the town we left behind 45 years earlier. It was in these last years that I got serious about painting in general and added pastels to my armoury of painting media. I joined the Royal South Australian Society of Arts, Adelaide Art Society and Pastel Artists of SA here I had a spell as President. Over a 30 year period Ro and I have been regular visitors to the town of Bosa, Sardinia where our daughter has lived for all those years. Not surprisingly, you'll see that many of my paintings feature Bosa.
